In the past, I have worked for Centrebet and IG Index as an odds compiler on horseracing, football and tennis. I have also worked as a racecourse bookmaker and held my own pitches at numerous race courses around the UK.
For my football betting I developed at statistical package for analysing lower league Scottish football. It takes advantage of a loophole and produces value bets that profit long term, season on season.
Obviously the problem I found was trying to get sizeable bets down, week on week, at the odds I wanted and quickly found I was getting heavily restricted.
Unfortunately, my methods only work for small stake punters – if you’re only wanting £50 on a game then you’ll be fine.
For my own personal betting I use a staking method based on the Kelly criteria which produces a % of bank size stake relative to the difference between my price and price offered.
To simplify things for this trial however , I shall be grading bets between 1 – 3 stars. A 3 star bet is the strongest.
