A little about myself. My name is Kevin and I have been into football all my life, playing until 45 and managing until 55 at a mediocre level.
I have a vast amount of experience on football betting for the last 20 years.
I am basically a stats guy who is only interested at betting at value odds and if I can’t get those odds, I will not make the bet.
Being a stats guy, I know that the only possible way for the man in the street to make a profit is by making VALUE bets.
1 – I have been involved in football betting for the last 20 years, having developed my own ratings system, which I use as the basis of my selections. I am a stats man who only looks for value bets according to my ratings.
2 – I work strictly within certain boundaries. I only deal in the Premiership, Championship,League 1 and League 2. I do not bet in cup matches, European matches or internationals,except for my own pleasure but would never put selections up for these as I feel stats are no good in these areas. Generally I bet within the odds range 5/4 to 5/2.
3 – Bearing in mind the above, on a full league programme on the weekend, I would look to come up with 5 value selections. At the odds I work at, if I got 2 of those selections correct,I would expect a 10% ROI, if I got 3 right, it would be 50% ROI. My aim is to get 3 right each weekend. If there are league games midweek, I also try to pick out a number of selections.
4 – Now I also do lay teams if my stats show they are over bet but I would only ever lay at odds-on. Occasionally I bet on the over 2.5 market but never on the under 2.5 market. I also never bet on the Asian market, correct score or first goalscorer.
5 – For the purpose of this trial, my bets are 1 point level stake bets. This is purely because it is easier to discern how the trial is going if placing at level stakes. Personally, I do have a staking system as the season progresses and hopefully profits are being made and as we get into the trial I may bring it into play.
